Tournament Celebrates 45th Anniversary of the Largest Annual LGBTQ Single-Sport, Week-Long Athletic Competition in the World

DALLAS, Texas and ATLANTA, Ga., August 29, 2022 – Strong Voices Television (SVTV Network) will be the first-ever television platform to stream live coverage of the

North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance’s (NAGAAA) Gay Softball World Series on Saturday, September 3 from Dallas, Texas. SVTV Network will livestream the A and B division championship games from the 45th annual tournament beginning at 12:10 PM ET.

Each year, NAGAAA partners with a host city for the Gay Softball World Series, the largest annual LGBT single-sport, week-long athletic competition in the world. Teams from the 48 member cities across North America compete to qualify and represent their city in one of five divisions. In 2022, 250+ teams will take to the field in Dallas, Texas, celebrating NAGAAA’s 45th anniversary.

The SVTV livestream will include the two top championship games featuring instant replay, on-screen graphics, and player profiles. Lead announcer will be NAGAAA Hall of Famer Rich Segal and his broadcast partner will be Leslie McMurray.

The livestreams are the latest in a string of sporting events SVTV has carried exclusively as the LGBTQ+ subscription-based service continues to build its collection of live sports, most recently three games with the WTFL (Women’s Tackle Football League) including The Legacy Bowl, All-Star game, and Skills Challenge, as well as the Big Peach Softball Tournament. SVTV is also set to livestream the ASANA Softball World Series on August 20 from Washington, D.C.

“This partnership with NAGAAA caps off an momentous summer for SVTV, launching our livestreaming LGBTQ sports initiative which covered Women’s Tackle Football League, the ASANA Softball World Series, the Hotlanta Softball League and now NAGAAA’s historic Gay Softball World Series,” said Sheri Johnson, CEO, SVTV Network. “We at SVTV are proud to be part of the team, and share the achievements and celebration of the GSWS’s 45th anniversary.”

“NAGAAA is proud and very excited to have some of our NAGAAA GSWS games live streamed by SVTV. We look forward to a long lasting partnership that will allow us to showcase our organization, our community, and our LGBTQ+ athletes,” said John Deffee, Comissioner of the North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance (NAGAAA).

SVTV Network will begin streaming the live excitement of the championship games for the B Division Championship at 12:10 PM and the A Division Division Championship at 1:15 PM. In addition, the B Division IF starts at 2:20 PM and the A Division IF is at 3:25 PM. All times EDT.
